JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Education Office issued an appeal to school residents, ranging from students, teachers, to education personnel to wear masks in the midst of poor air pollution today. This is stated in Circular Number e-0049/SE/2023 concerning Alert to Improvement of Air Pollution in the DKI Jakarta Region for All Residents of the Education Unit. "Disdik has made a circular letter, it contains several points. One of them is that education implementers mobilize their citizens to implement health protocols. There is there (the appeal) to wear masks," said Acting Head of DKI Jakarta Education Agency Purwosilo to reporters, Wednesday, September 6.Purwosusilo emphasized that the use of this mask is not mandatory because the conditions are different from the state of the COVID-19 pandemic. After all, according to him, the DKI Disdik also gave another appeal to implement other health protocols similar to the pandemic period, namely reducing activities outside the room, maintaining body immunity, eating with balanced nutrition, to drinking enough water. So, health protocols at the time of the pandemic are still cultivated, children who feel coughed or what is not immediately wearing masks, are not close, "explained Purwosusilo.

Furthermore, Disdik DKI also asked the head of the sub-district education implementing unit to coordinate with the head of the nearest puskesmas to conduct health screening of school residents. "The next point is communication with health facilities if our students have signs or symptoms of ARI and so on, they are quickly handled with health facilities," explained Purwosusilo.
