NTB Police Arrest 25 Drug Trafficking Suspects In 2 Months

West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police (Polda) arrested 25 suspects from the disclosure of 14 drug trafficking cases in the last two months.

"Of the 14 cases with 25 suspects that have been determined, evidence of methamphetamine and drug types registered with G brands Hexymer and Trihexyphenidyl has been confiscated," said Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. For the amount of methamphetamine confiscated, it was 777.94 grams. In addition, two types of G-list drugs according to the Decree of the Minister of Health Number 02396/A/SK/VIII/1989 are classified as hard drugs with the use having to include hundreds of doctor's prescriptions.

"For Hexymer, there are 459 pills, while the Trihexyphenidyl has 400 pills," he said.

In addition to drug evidence, investigators confiscated cash totaling Rp. 14.7 million, 34 cell phones belonging to the suspects, 3 units of two-wheeled vehicles, and 1 unit of four-wheeled vehicles.

Regarding the modus operandi of the suspects in running the drug business, said Arman, by utilizing the online media.

"The transaction is online by placing the goods somewhere, and the buyer takes it. So, the transaction is a broken system, not knowing each other between the seller and the buyer," he said.

From the disclosure of this case, he said, investigators applied the suspicion of Article 111, Article 112, Article 114, Article and / or Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

"Regarding the case files belonging to the suspects, they are currently in the filing to be immediately transferred to the research prosecutor, hopefully they can be completed soon," said Arman.
