The four young celebrities from Pandeglang Regency, Banten, were arrested by the Pandeglang Banten Police for sponsoring online gambling material on their personal accounts. The four perpetrators who were arrested, namely ZU, SU, TM, and RN.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pandeglang Police, AKP Fangton, said that online gambling promotions have been carried out since August and early September. The four celebrities who have hundreds of thousands of followers on social media accounts were previously contacted by admins on online gambling sites.

After an agreement, they are paid for the endorsement fee for promotions per upload. Each celebgram has a different rate every time the upload depends on the response from the followers (followers). They are estimated to receive a fee of Rp. 1 million to Rp. 4 million for one upload.

"Within two consecutive weeks they also upload online gambling content. The money they receive can reach tens of millions to tens of millions of rupiah. They will receive more and more money if affiliated, when there are followers who join the online gambling site. They will receive a commission of 30 percent of each number of victims' deposits," said AKP Vocaton in Pandeglang, Tuesday, September 5.

Zenton revealed that after payment was made, the four celebrities only made uploads on their social media.

"There are also affiliate systems. They are asked to share links to online gambling sites. If the link is opened then they will get a profit of 30 percent of the affiliate," he continued.

To account for their actions, the suspects were charged with Article 45 paragraph (2), in conjunction with Article 27 paragraph (2) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions. with a maximum imprisonment of 6 years.
