KPK Find Documents Related To Alleged Corruption In Bima City Government

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) found evidence of alleged gratification and corruption in the procurement of goods and services at the City Government (Pemkot) Bima, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The findings were obtained after investigators searched four places on Thursday, August 31.

"We found various documents and electronic devices that are suspected of being able to explain the existence of criminal acts from the suspect in this case," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, August 1.

The four places that were searched were three houses of related parties in Bima City and one company office on Jalan Quarantine. This process is a continuation of the previous search that has been carried out.

Ali said the evidence obtained would be analyzed. "And the confiscation will be carried out immediately to complete the investigation case file," he said.

As previously reported, investigators have searched seven locations for two days, Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30 in this case. One of the searches was the working room of the Mayor of Bima Muhammad Lutfi and his private house.

From this activity, investigators obtained procurement documents up to a financial record sheet.

The search was carried out after a new investigation into allegations of corruption in the procurement of goods and services as well as gratuities was carried out. The KPK has not detailed the suspect but information is circulating that Lutfi has been named a suspect.
