JAKARTA - Military Police Commander of Kodam Jaya, Colonel Cpm Isyad Hamdie Bey Anwar revealed the motive for the murder of Imam Masykur (25) by Paspampres initials Praka RM together with Praka HS and Praka J.Isyad revealed that the murder began with extortion, but the victim eventually died. Isyad said, Praka RM cs at that time asked for Rp 50 million. "They asked for Rp 50 million but it was not fulfilled, eventually being tortured. At the time of torture, maybe it was severe, eventually died," he said. After death, Imam Masykur's body was dumped in a reservoir in Purwakarta, West Java. Imam's body then drifted away in the river flow to Karawang and was only found on August 15, 2023.

This action was carried out by three people, namely Praka RM, Praka HS, and Praka J. Praka RM are members of the Paspampres and served as members of the State Protocol Guard Battalion. Meanwhile, two other perpetrators, namely Praka HS and Praka J, served in different units. Praka HS is a member of the Army Topographic Directorate, while Praka J is a member of the Army at the Iskandar Muda Kodam, Aceh. All three are currently suspects and have been detained.
