Fired By PDIP, Budiman Gets Nyaleg Offer At PKB: Please Still Have Time

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) opened the door for Budiman Sudjatmiko, who had just been fired by the PDI-P in the aftermath of supporting Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate (candidate) in 2024.

PKB even offered Budiman to become a legislative candidate from the party chaired by Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin.

This was said by Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid at the DPR building, Friday, August 25.

Initially, Jazilul was reluctant to comment on Budiman's dismissal because he supported the presidential election of the Gerindra chairman, Prabowo. Although PKB is a coalition partner in the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR).

"Wow, it's people's household, what should we respond to. That's a PDIP household, we just respect what PDIP has decided," said Jazilul.

However, the man who is familiarly called Gus Jazil did not deny that his party was happy if Budiman wanted to join PKB. Jazilul said that Budiman, who is an activist in '98 and PKB, had something in common.

"Yes, indeed, I think that if Mr. Budiman and PKB are not only about age, it's almost the same, it has something in common. If Mr. Budiman wants to go to PKB, he's happy. Hopefully it fits right, I think it fits," said Jazilul.

Jazilul then offered Budiman to become a candidate for PKB. According to him, there is still time if Budiman wants to register.

"Or him, if you want to relax at PKB, go ahead, there is still time," explained Gus Jazil.

PDI-P (PDIP) politician Budiman Sudjatmiko has officially received a letter of dismissal from the PDIP DPP following his support for Prabowo Subianto.

Budiman said the dismissal letter was signed directly by the Chairperson of the PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri and PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto today, Thursday, August 24.

"I have indeed received (the letter of dismissal of PDIP). Earlier at 20.00 WIB I received it," said Budiman.
