SAR Team Searches For 2 Missing Fishermen In Jepara Waters

The joint team is still searching for two fishermen from Jepara Regency, Central Java, who have been reported missing since August 22.

Head of the Semarang SAR Office Heru Suhartanto said the two fishermen in jukung boats were suspected of missing in Mlongo waters, Jepara Regency.

The two fishermen were Suparni (59) a resident of Bondo Village, Bangsri District and Darmin (50) a resident of Dukuh Balong, Mlonggo District, Jepara Regency.

According to him, the boat carrying the two fishermen departed from Empurancak Base, Jepara Regency. "Usually a day of going to sea and then going home. However, for two days there was no news, it was finally reported to the officers," he said.

The boat with a length of six meters and a width of one meter had problems with the parts still hanging around the sea

Heru explained that the search was carried out using a 8-mile Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) to the west of Mlongo waters.

He hopes that the weather conditions in the Java Sea will remain sunny so that the search can produce results soon.
