The Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that the landed house of ministerial office (RTJM) in the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago can already be inhabited in mid-2024.

"God willing, in the middle of next year everything can be used," said Iwan Suprijanto, Director General of Housing in Jakarta, Friday.

Iwan added that the construction of the office house had been going on since the end of last year and until August 2023, the progress of the physical construction of 36 units of RTJM in IKN had reached 22.86 percent.

The ministerial office house was built by the Directorate General of Housing as high as two floors.

On the first floor consists of a terrace, workspace, waiting room and official area, living room, and living bedroom. Meanwhile, on the second floor is a private area consisting of the family room, the main bedroom, and the child's bedroom.

The land area per unit of the landed house is 1,000 square meters and the building area is 580 square meters complete with the furniture.

In the construction of RTJM in IKN, the Ministry of PUPR also continues to pay attention to a number of important aspects, both in terms of area, residential design and technology utilization.

Some of these aspects are responsive to soil contours, climates, disasters, and the use of smart home systems.

The PUPR Ministry implemented a design by utilizing the Nusantara element in its building design.

In addition, the residents will also find it easy to reach social facilities and public facilities with a minimum of only 10 minutes.

Before being determined to be livable, the Ministry of PUPR conducted an examination or commissioning in July 2024.

Examinations carried out include checking lights and water flow, step function, room division, and other things. The inspection aims to ensure that the buildings at IKN Nusantara are habitable.
