PAMEKASAN - Pertaminan Patra Niaga has accelerated the distribution of subsidized fuel oil (BBM) on Madura Island, East Java, to overcome motor vehicle queues at various public fuel filling stations (SPBU) in this region.

Area Manager for Communication, Relations and CSR for East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara (Jatimbalinus) Ahad Rehadi said that in addition to accelerating distribution, his party had also started to mitigate to ensure that the community's energy needs were met according to quotas and points of sale.

"We have also coordinated with the government to address this issue," he said in a statement delivered to the media in Pamekasan, East Java, Saturday night.

According to Ahad, Pertamina has implemented the priority of delivery from the BBM supply point terminal and also the supply transfer from the nearest BBM terminal from the distribution area.

This step, he said again, is an effort to encourage the acceleration of distribution. Pertamina has also carried out additional mitigation, so that the fuel delivered is increasing to accelerate the fulfillment of energy needs for the community.

"In addition, we have also maximized the tank car with the priority scale of delivery. Through this effort, it is hoped that the queue will be immediately resolved and the distribution condition will return to normal," he said.

He also ensured that the needs for subsidized fuel in all districts and cities in East Java, including on the island of Madura, were safe and sufficient for the local community.

The distribution of subsidized fuel is ensured in accordance with the provisions as determined by the government, quotas, and points of sale that have been determined.

"Until now, Pertamina is still carrying out periodic monitoring related to supply and distribution in the field and continues to prioritize safety in every operational activity in order to provide the best service to the community," he explained.

Based on monitoring on Saturday (27/6), motor vehicle queues at a number of gas stations in Pamekasan Regency, Sampang, Bangkalan and Sumenep Regency are still ongoing for subsidized fuel types of pertalite and solar.
