Consider Megawati Understanding Her Attitude To Support Prabowo's Presidential Candidate, Budiman: Dynamics Is A Reasonable Process

PDIP politician Budiman Sudjatmiko assesses PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri understands her attitude, which has now expressed support for Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

This is in response to Megawati's statement that likens political dynamics to dancing with various movements and even exchanging partners.

"I think Bu Mega's statement was once stated to me when I met him at his house. Ahead of this politics, it's normal, there are dances and dynamics, it's a normal process," Budiman said at the PSI Kopdarnas event at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 22.

"From Mrs. Mega's statement, I would like to say that you can understand this dynamic," he added.

Budiman argues that Megawati's statement about political dynamics like dancing shows maturity in thinking.

"So in my opinion, it shows his maturity as a mature person of all kinds, and I think we need cold dialogue for dynamics like this so that it is not tense," said Budiman.

Previously, PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri asked her cadres not to worry about the dance of the political elites. They must focus on their job of greeting people or grassroots in every region.

This was conveyed by Megawati when speaking to Party cadres at the DPD PDIP Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), Tuesday, August 22. In this activity, he was accompanied by Ganjar Pranowo, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, and PDIP DPD Chairperson DIY Nuryadi.

Initially, Megawati said that she had predicted a political dance ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). In fact, this was conveyed to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"So I was called (President Jokowi) asked, 'Ma'am, the atmosphere will be in the election, if you think, what is the atmosphere like?" Megawati said imitating Jokowi's question as quoted from a written statement.

Finding this question, Megawati then thought that party officials were currently dancing. This causes confusion in Jokowi's head.

"I'm easy, 'Do you know if people dance?'. (Jokowi answered, ed) 'Well, I asked about politics, really, you're still dancing'," he said still imitating Jokowi's question at the time.

Seeing this confusion, Megawati then explained that the dance was a symbol that could be interpreted by herself, both of them, or in groups. The movement can be flat, slow, and fast and often change partners.

Receiving the explanation, Megawati said Jokowi then laughed. With this condition, the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia asked the PDIP cadres not to be confused.

"So look now you don't have to think like this, oh, how come we are locked up, we are here (we, red) meneng wae, meneng wae (silence), but welcome (work, red) down to the grassroots, say hello. There is no other way," he concluded.
