JAKARTA - The National Police have fired Kombes Yulius Bambang Karryanto (YBK) for being involved in a narcotics case. The dismissal was based on the results of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) trial.
"The decision at the KKEP trial is an administrative sanction in the form of Disrespectful Dismissal (PTDH) as a member of the National Police," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan in his statement, Monday, August 21.
The PTDH sanction was imposed because Kombes Yulius Bambang Karyanto's actions in consuming methamphetamine were considered a disgraceful act.
In addition, the dismissal sanction is a form of the National Police Chief's commitment to take firm action against its members who enter the black world of narcotics.
"Based on the National Police Chief's commitment that he is not playing games with Polri officers who are involved in narcotics crimes," said Ramadhan.
