Moeldoko: The Young Generation Currently Determines Not Successors

JAKARTA - The problem due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the war between Russia-Ukraine has caused a food crisis, energy and the economy experienced by every country on earth. And this has an impact on the growth of the younger generation in every country.

This was conveyed by the Presidential Chief of Staff, Dr. Moeldoko emphasized to the youth of scout members at the Raimuna XII event, Jakarta, August 19.

Moeldoko stated that Indonesia is increasingly ready and mature to become a large 5 country with world powers.

"The current generation will be different from my previous generation, the problem is much more complex, so the way of thinking must also be complex problem solving, especially having a commitment to achieving your vision and ideals," said Moeldoko.

Anticipating this, added Moeldoko, the Indonesian government in the era of President Joko Widodo's leadership currently prioritizes human resource development. This includes improvements in education, health and income.

Moeldoko gave an example, the current government has increased the social protection budget (bansos), with a total of IDR 3,212 trillion from 2015 to 2023, including a Healthy Indonesia Card, Smart Indonesia Card, and Smart Indonesia Card. Lecture.

"The state cannot be built by the government itself, components of society must actively participate in achieving the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045," added Moeldoko.

Therefore, Moeldoko said the government is intensifying the handling of stunting to increase the human development index through various infrastructure empowerment programs. Automatically, it will make it easier for the community," he said.

Including the digitization of the bureaucracy, with the Integrated Public Service Mall, simplification of bureaucratic regulations will facilitate the process of obtaining permits for the community and investors. Regarding the economy, Moeldoko added, economic transformation by limiting exports and strengthening downstreaming is carried out in order to increase Indonesia's competitiveness at the global level.
