Because according to him, air pollution in the capital city continues to increase every year. The air quality figure is recorded that currently DKI Jakarta is still in the second unhealthy category in the world. According to Johan, this will result in high environmental pollution which has implications for long-term damage to the environment. He also criticized that the implementation of national development related to the environment and spatial planning had an impact on the decline in the quality and function of the environment itself. "The state must be present to ensure environmental sustainability, including ensuring healthy and fresh air for Jakarta residents and other big cities," Johan told reporters, Tuesday, August 15. "I am concerned about the high number of cases of air pollution in Indonesia, especially in big cities like Jakarta, making Indonesia named the ninth-ranked country as the world's largest pollution-producing country," he continued. The PKS politician also reminded that there are still many environmental problems related to air pollution that have not been completed to this day. Johan emphasized that environmental pollution crimes must be eradicated immediately because they have long-term effects on the environment. The government must be responsible for environmental management. In accordance with the decision of the Central Jakarta District Court to impose sanctions on parties who do not carry out their obligations in fulfilling the citizens' rights to a clean and healthy environment in DKI Jakarta,” Johan said. Johan also invited all parties to raise awareness and concern for the dangers of air pollution. Moreover, this air pollution causes many health problems. Let's join hands to address the serious problems of air pollution in Jakarta and other cities, because WHO has warned that the adverse effects of air pollution have an impact on soaring health threats to several diseases such as stroke, lung cancer, heart disease and various other respiratory diseases ” Johan explained.
