JAKARTA - PT Transjakarta provides a temporary stop to replace the burning Tendean bus stop on Monday, August 15 afternoon. The temporary bus stop was built next to the Tendean bus stop.

"There is a bus stop next to the Tendean Bus Stop to be able to serve Transjakarta customers. This is only a temporary stop," said Head of the Public Relations Department and CSR Transjakarta Wibowo in a short message, Tuesday, August 15.

Meanwhile, Transjakarta is also still calculating material losses caused by the fire at the bus stop located on Jalan Kapten Tendean, South Jakarta.

"(The calculation of the loss) is all still in process," said Wibowo.

The police are also still investigating the cause of the fire at the Tendean Bus Stop. To find out more for sure the cause of the fire, the police dispatched a Puslabfor Police Headquarters.

"We are coordinating with the identification of the police and the Puslabfor Police Headquarters. God willing, tomorrow we will carry out a check, morning," said Mampang Prapatan Police Chief Masyhuri when confirmed, Monday, August 14.

Masyhuri admitted that he could not conclude whether there was an element of intent and the cause of the fire from the Transjakarta bus stop fire. This is because he is still waiting for the results of the inspection from the Puslabfor Police Headquarters.

The burning of the TransJakarta bus stop on Jalan Kaptendean, Mampang, South Jakarta panicked road users who crossed the area. The fire spread rapidly to various corners of the building in the afternoon yesterday.

The South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service received information on the fire at the Tendean Bus Stop at 17.40 WIB. The fire immediately deployed 30 personnel and 7 fire engines. The fire was finally extinguished and has been cooled at 18.23 WIB.

South Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. Picket Officer Triyanto said that currently it is still suspected that the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit.

"The cause of the fire was due to a short circuit in the charging attack," said Triyanto.

Triyanto explained that the charging attack device emitted a fire and spread throughout the bus stop building. After his party received the news, he deployed 30 personnel and 7 units of the South Jakarta fire to extinguish the fire.

"When leaving at 17.43 WIB, the blackout started at 17.50 WIB, cooling down at 17.55 WIB. After the blackout at 18.23 WIB," he added.
