PAPUA - The detention of two suspects who shot members of the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) member in Dekai, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains, was transferred to the Papua Police Headquarters Rutan in Jayapura. "It is true that the detention of the two suspects, namely AS (25) and KG (27) have been transferred to the Papua Police Detention Center in Jayapura, since last Thursday," said Dansatgas Damai Cartenz Kombes Faizal Rahmadani in Jayapura, quoted from Antara, Friday, August 11. The transfer of US detention, which is the treasurer of Kampung Paneki and KG, was carried out while waiting for the transfer of the suspect and evidence to the Wamena District Attorney's Office which was then tried at the Wamena District Court. The two suspects were related to the attack and shooting of a member of the Cartenz Peace Operations preventive task force in November 2022 and killed Bripda Gilang Aji Prasetyo and injured Brigadier Fazuarsyah at KM 8 Dekai, Yahukimo Regency. "The two suspects were arrested in separate places around Dekai on August 1," explained Faizal. Kombes Faizal added that apart from handing over the two suspects, investigators will also hand over the evidence that was secured during the raid on the KKB headquarters in Dekai, consisting of six homemade firearms along with four rounds of ammunition.

During the raid on the KKB headquarters around Dekai, various traditional war equipment such as arrows and bows were also found.
