Kejari Mukomuko Increases Cases Of Alleged Corruption Of BPBD BTT Funds To Investigation

MUKOMUKO - Mukomuko District Attorney (Kejari) Bengkulu conducted an investigation into allegations of corruption in Unexpected Expenditure Funds (BTT) for disaster management at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in 2022. "The case of alleged corruption in the 2022 BTT funds at the local BPBD, which previously had the status of an investigation, has now begun to be increased to an investigation," said Head of the Mukomuko District Attorney's Office Rudi Iskandar in Mukomuko, quoted from Antara, Friday, August 11. Investigators from the Mukomuko District Attorney continue to investigate this alleged corruption case. Allegations of misuse of the budget for disaster management at the local BPBD are due to using two budget items which are both sourced from the 2022 APBD. The first disaster management budget came from the budget implementation document (DPA) of the Mukomuko Regency BPBD amounting to Rp628 million and BTT funds amounting to Rp348 million. Meanwhile, in the stages of disbursing BTT funds, he said, the Mukomuko BPBD wrote to the Regent Mukomuko Sapuan, then the regent ordered the Regional Finance Agency (BKD) to disburse BTT funds, then the funds were disbursed and used by BPBD. However, his party has not been able to mention in detail the corruption crime in the BTT fund corruption case for disaster management. "This status has only been upgraded from investigation to investigation. Investigators are still investigating corruption," he said. Furthermore, his party is still collecting at least two pieces of evidence to further strengthen the handling of alleged corruption in BTT funds. "Investigators have previously asked BPBD for information regarding this case," he also said. He stated that investigators would also summon and ask other parties for information related to allegations of corruption in the misuse of BTT funds for disaster management.
