The Condition Of The Sultan Of The Victim Trapped In The Fiber Optical Cable Is Getting Better At The Police Hospital, Weighting Increases

JAKARTA - Almost a week of undergoing intensive care at the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, is getting better.

"So, during the treatment at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, the Sultan was in a condition of improvement, there was weight gain. The increase was stable according to what we gave to the Sultan, so in almost one week there was an increase of one to two kilograms," said the Head of the Police Hospital Brigadier General Hariyanto as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 8.

Furthermore, the team of doctors will coordinate to replace the NGT hose as a food and drink aid for the Sultan, which is still installed.

However, its implementation needs caution because it will be affected by the esophagus or Sultan's dining route.

"This has been installed for a long time and the time has been changed, but you have to be careful because the implementation before that when replacing the hose there are obstacles in the esophagus or patient convexness," he said.

The National Police Hospital itself deployed 45 specialist doctors and joint medical personnel in an effort to heal the Sultan who was the victim of an optical fiber cable accident on Jalan Antasari, South Jakarta, on January 5.

"There are proficient nurses, anesthetic nurses, a combination of doctors between paramedics, and about 45 experts. There are 15 specialists," said Hariyanto.

Previously, as a result of the accident, Sultan's weight decreased by 22 kilograms.

Hariyanto said the Sultan's weight loss was due to the impact of the incident which injured the concavity, and the process of eating and drinking was also disrupted.

"So this is the secondary of the disturbance that occurs directly, yes, the cable has been hit by run-off or the respiratory tract and concavity, because of the disturbance, this ananda for eating has been disrupted, the weight has decreased since January 2023 has been large, from 68 kilograms to 46 kilograms," he said.

Now, the hospital is focusing on nutrition arrangements first before carrying out operations on the Sultan.
