Imprisoned For Life, Ferdy Sambo Emphasized That The Supreme Court Emphasized That It Could Be Immediately Executed In Prison

JAKARTA - Ferdy Sambo was immediately executed by the prosecutor to prison after the Supreme Court (MA) canceled the death penalty through an cassation decision. Ferdy Sambo was sentenced by the Supreme Court to life imprisonment.

"This has permanent legal force, it can be executed immediately," said Head of the Legal and Public Relations Bureau of MA Sobandi to reporters, Tuesday, August 8.

In this case, Ferdy Sambo has languished in the Mako Brimob Depok since his status as a suspect until his trial. At the first level and appeal, the panel of judges sentenced the former Head of the Propam Police Division to death.

But at the Supreme Court, the court's decision was previously disallowed into a life sentence for Ferdy Sambo.

In the cassation decision, two judges of the Supreme Court (MA) have different opinions or expressed a dissenting opinion regarding the verdict of the former Head of the Propam Police Division Ferdy Sambo from the death penalty to life.

"There are two people who dissented opinions in the case of the defendant FS, namely Jupriyadi and Desnayeti. They did dissenting opinions," said Sobandi.

Although the two judges expressed different opinions, not the other three judges, including Supreme Court Justice Suhadi.

"So he rejects the cassation. It means the death penalty is still there," he said.

"But the decision is to improve (to become, red) for life," continued Sobandi.
