The Lawyer Whose Somasi Akhyar Nasution Admits That He Has Not Been Paid To Handle The Medan Pilkada Dispute

MEDAN - The Akhyar Nasution-Salman Alfarisi Team revoked the legal team's attorney from the GNP Law Firm's office to handle the Medan Pilkada result which was won by Bobby Nasution.

Attorney for GNP Law Firm, Ucok Lumbangaol, even made a notification to Akhyar Nasution-Salman Alfarisi on January 27. It was reported that the lawyer had not yet received payment from the Akhyar-Salman team.

When confirmed about the payment, Ucok was reluctant to reveal the details. According to him, it was his side's business with Akhyar-Salman.

"There are bills that have not been given. But let us, our consumption, not be nice, many people know," Ucok told reporters, Monday, February 1.

"Even though we have tried to get the lawsuit up to the Court. We have also done legal work and the request has been accepted by the Court," Ucok continued.

According to him, Akhyar revoked the power of attorney because he wanted to directly attend the 2020 Medan Pilkada dispute trial.

"If the reason was that he (Akhyar) attended, he did not attend. That's the reason he withdrew the lawsuit," said Ucok.

But the lawyers only learned about the revocation of the power of attorney on January 25. This letter of revocation of power is dated January 4.

"They made a letter of revocation of power on January 4, but it was submitted to us on January 25, 2021. That's what we did not receive. The letter of revocation of power was also made out of our knowledge," Ucok said.

According to him, what the Akhyar-Salman team did was an insult to the advocate profession. Because, the making of a power revocation letter was beyond his knowledge.

"We did not know that it was issued on January 4, 2021. In fact, we are still working on the process of legal proceedings, both administration and relations with the secretariat of the Constitutional Court," he said.
