SAMARINDA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto asked the Regional Government (Pemda) in the East Kalimantan region to accelerate the asset certification process.

"The Ministry of ATR/BPN together with the Regional Government continues to encourage the acceleration of asset certification. However, its implementation still faces several obstacles, such as the search for the location of assets, land area, and land boundaries," Hadi said in Samarinda as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 4.

Cooperation and support from the local government, continued Hadi, are highly expected to accelerate the program from his ministry.

The Ministry of ATR/BPN, according to Hadi, has saved state assets with an estimated value of around Rp. 643.9 trillion through the certification program. However, Hadi admitted that there are still a number of state assets that have not registered certificates, such as setu or lakes.

"For this reason, I ask all parties to provide data regarding the boundaries of the river, beach and lake border so that these assets can be certified," he said.

Regarding the certification of local government assets, the Head of the Task Force for the Coordination and Supervision of Region IV of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Wahyudi admitted that the regional government asset certification program in East Kalimantan was still running slowly with only 20 percent of assets that already had legality.

"Respons Pemda perlu didorong dan menjadi bahan evaluasi kami karena Kepala Kanwil KPK setiap triwulan melakukan evaluasi bersama seluruh pemangku kepentingan terkait percepatan," kata Wahyudi.

Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of East Kalimantan Province, Sri Wahyuni, acknowledged that East Kalimantan as the buffer zone for the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago, needed to immediately clean up land and secure state assets.

"Of course what is needed, we as the IKN calf fence are committed to always working with the Ministry of ATR/BPN," said Sri Wahyuni.
