East Ciputat Police Chief, Kompol Agung Nugroho confirmed the incident. Agung said that the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, July 30.
Agung explained that at that time Sapto saw a woman being teased by a group of teenagers in the Ciputat area. Sapto tried to reprimand the group, but what he got was resistance from the perpetrators.
"Then reprimanded, then the children's groups (the children) felt offended. Suddenly there was a verbal altercation. The victim (Sapto) was stabbed with the left cheek," Agung said when confirmed, Tuesday, August 1.
Seeing that his opponent had been beaten, the group of perpetrators fled leaving the victim. Luckily, there were residents around the scene who saw it, so the incident was immediately reported to the East Ciputat Police.
