Grobogan Police used a water cannon car to provide clean water assistance to residents in Grobogan Regency. The assistance was given because the area experienced drought.

The long fanfare that has occurred recently has made it difficult for residents in Grobogan Regency. In fact, recently a video went viral showing residents taking water from a hole made at the bottom of the river, in Karanganyar Hamlet, Geyer, Grobogan.

Grobogan Police Chief AKBP Dedy Anung Kurniawan explained that the distribution of clean water assistance was carried out using a water cannon car which was usually used to dispel the masses during demonstrations.

Not only that, AKBP Deddy also said that his party had deployed 4 tank cars, 4 modified patrol cars, and 50 Bhabinkamtibmas members with Bronjong motorbikes filled with clean water.

According to Deddy, in overcoming the drought that occurred in the Grobogan area, his party has also coordinated with BPBD and PDAM Grobogan.

"Today, we have deployed one water cannon car, four tank cars belonging to BPBD and PDAM, four patrol cars and 50 Bronjong Bhabinkamtibmas motorbikes to help overcome the drought that occurred in Grobogan Regency," explained the Grobogan Police Chief in a written statement, Monday, July 31.

The police chief added that the clean water will be distributed at several points, including water canons and 2 tankers distributing clean water assistance in the Karangrejo Village area, Grobogan District. Then, 2 tankers in Asemrudung Village, Geyer, Grobogan.

"For patrol cars that have been modified and the police bronjong motorbike contains clean water, following the distribution of clean water in each of the Polsek areas," said the Police Chief.

Meanwhile, the Head of Karangrejo Village, Grobogan Dwi Sri Astutik, appreciated what the Grobogan Police and their staff had done. According to him, the distribution of clean water directly carried out by the Grobogan Police Chief in his village is very helpful for people who have been getting clean water by taking water from the wells in the fields.

Our residents have experienced drought for the past two months. So far, residents have taken water from wells in the fields. Because if they buy the price, it is around Rp. 120 thousand. Of course, it is very difficult for our residents who mostly work as farmers," said Dwi Sri Astutik.

He hopes that clean water assistance for these residents can continue to be carried out. In fact, he hopes to be given water assistance at least once a week.
