South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Police, South Kalimantan dishonorably fired Bripka Sarifuddin who sold firearms and motorbikes for the National Police. "Today we are holding a ceremony for the Disrespectful Dismissal (PTDH) of our members on behalf of Sarifuddin, because the person concerned violates the police code of ethics regulations," said HSS Police Chief, AKBP Leo Martin Pasaribu in Kandangan, Antara, Wednesday, July 26. Leo said Sarifuddin committed a serious violation according to the results of the code of ethics trial so that the Telaga Langsat Police had to undergo PTDH. Leo said that the dismissal of Sarifuddin was a tangible manifestation of the firmness of the National Police leadership towards members who committed criminal acts and tarnished the good name of the institution. Based on the facts of the code of ethics trial, Leo revealed that Sarifuddin was trying to sell controlled firearms and official motorcycles while guarding the bank. It is known that Sarifuddin committed a criminal act while still serving at the Samapta Polres HSS, also from the results of the investigation he had controlled for more than a year the firearm. It was also revealed that the person concerned had attempted to transact to people who were interested in buying the weapon, but his party was grateful that no one had agreed to buy it. The weapon can still be found by the authorities and has been secured from the house concerned, and not only in the case of firearms, but Sarifuddin also committed other criminal acts, had pawned the official vehicle belonging to the Resort Police to the public. "So this PDTH decision against members is certainly not based on one act that he has committed, the chairperson of the trial assessed it with an in-depth investigation and finally decided on PTDH," he said. In addition, from the facts of the trial, it is known that in his daily actions, the person concerned tends to be unfavorable and undisciplined as a member of the National Police, even though he has served for 16 years at the HSS Police. The HSS Police Chief reminded and appealed to members of the police, so that the PTDH ceremony or dismissal would not be repeated. "This is enough for the first and last time, during my tenure as Chief of Police, especially, and hopefully at the HSS Police there will be no more violations until the end of dismissal like this," he said. According to him, the background of the violation in question is related to mental background, one of which is lack of faith in God, meaning that it makes him forget himself, who he is, and what to do.
