DKI Inspectorate Completes Inspection Of Village Officials Forcing PPSU On Loan Debt Completed, Sanctions Next Week

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Inspectorate has finished examining village officials who force public infrastructure and facilities handling (PPSU) officers from Kelapa Gading Barat Village to borrow online loans (pinjol).

"We, the Inspectorate, have completed the inspection process. God willing, we will finish it immediately," said DKI Jakarta Inspectorate Syaefuloh Hidayat when met at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Tuesday, July 25.

Currently, Marihot Hutagalung, who serves as Head of the Economic and Development Section of Kelapa Gading Barat Village, has been disabled since the inspection of the inspectorate took place.

Then, the Inspectorate will impose disciplinary sanctions based on the results of the investigation into this case. Syaepuloh said the sanctions would be imposed next week. However, he has not disclosed what kind of sanctions were received by Marihot Hutagalung.

The imposition of sanctions refers to Government Regulation Number 53 of 2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline.

"We'll wait, for one or two weeks. I'll coordinate internally first. The disciplinary punishment process is not yet a process, but the examination process has been completed," he explained.

During the ongoing examination, the Inspectorate also dug up how many PPSUs were victims, to find out the root of the problem to prevent similar cases from happening again.

"We want to get the full details, including usually how they do it, look for candidates, we will study that. So that when we make a regulation or technical instructions, we can make sure this doesn't happen again," said Assistant for Government Affairs of the DKI Jakarta Regional Secretariat Sigit Wijatmoko, some time ago.

Previously, a PPSU officer in West Kelapa Gading named Maulana expressed his concern because he was asked to borrow from the loan application with his personal data by his superiors.

Maulana has experienced this loan coercion since January 2022. Maulana does not know the reason why the village staff asked Maulana and a number of her PPSU colleagues to borrow.

After being disbursed, the loan was immediately handed over to his superior. The value borrowed was different between Maulana and several of his colleagues. According to Maulana, officers whose performance was considered problematic were asked for larger loan money.
