Panji Gumilang Was Imprisoned For 10 Months, Kabareskrim: Fraud And Embezzlement

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit, Komjen Wahyu Widada, agrees with Panji Gumilang's confession about being involved in a crime and imprisoned. The head of the Al Zaytu Islamic Boarding School is said to be involved in cases of fraud and embezzlement.

"It was a trick (cases of fraud and embezzlement) yes, at that time it was a long time ago, a case of fraud if I'm not mistaken," Wahyu told reporters quoted on Friday, July 21.

Panji Gilang had stated that he had been imprisoned for 10 months. He conveyed this confession after undergoing an examination on Monday, July 3 last.

This confession was conveyed when answering investigators' questions about whether or not a Panji Gumilang had ever been in trouble with the law.

"Both of them were asked whether Panji Gumilang had ever dealt with the law, they were answered once. Third, is there a legal stipulation, has there ever been. How much is a legal stipulation, I have been sentenced to 10 months," said Panji.

Panji Gumilang is currently involved in several alleged criminal acts. First, the head of the Islamic Boarding School is suspected of committing blasphemy.

In the process of handling it, Bareskrim has raised the status of the case to an investigation. However, until now no suspect has been named.

Then, Panji Gumilang was also suspected of being involved in the Money Laundering Crime (TPPU). The Directorate of Special Economic Crimes at Bareskrim plans to examine experts in investigating the allegation.

Then, Panji Gumilang was also suspected of being involved in a case of alleged misappropriation of zakat funds. Now, the case is being handled by the Indramayu Police but is planned to be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.
