Surabaya Youth Park Will Be 'Implemented' Again, Mayor Eri Cahyadi: I Ask For A Maximum Entrance Ticket Of IDR 25 Thousand

SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Government has prepared a plan to revitalize the Surabaya Youth Park complex. Later, this area will be "livened" again.

However, this plan has not been realized. Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi stated that the revitalization was still waiting for a response or response from investors.

"The Surabaya Youth Park already has investors. Now there is assistance at the high prosecutor's office regarding its implementation and finances," said Eri Cahyadi, as quoted by Antara.

Mayor Eri stated that his party asked the management to determine the entrance ticket price (HTM) of the Surabaya Youth Park to a maximum of IDR 25 thousand. The determination of this HTM has become his commitment in providing cheap family tourism in Surabaya.

"I ask for this Surabaya Youth Park, the entrance ticket is a maximum of Rp. 25 thousand. If he (visitor) wants to play again, please pay. But come in, enjoy an open plaza, it's Rp. 25 thousand. I want a cheap tour in Surabaya," said Cak Eri, his nickname.

The former Head of the Surabaya City Development Planning Agency (Bappeko) revealed the concept of the Surabaya Youth Park revitalization plan in the future, which will later have more open spaces such as plazas and art performances.

"The concept is an open plaza that can display art and ludruk. There will also be places that commemorate the past ludruk and the family's place. So there are many open places for plazas, performing arts," he said.

The plan, Mayor Eri said, is that the Surabaya Youth Park management cooperation will use the Build Operate Transfer (BOT) scheme.

"So it's like (cooperation) in the management of Pasar Turi. There is cooperation or rent for how many tens of years, after that the price is that much," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency, Research and Development (Bappeda Litbang) of Surabaya City, Febrina Kusumawati, said that the plan to revitalize the Surabaya Youth Park was in the stage of blocking the appraisal value between the city government and investors.

"It is still being agreed regarding the appraisal. Yesterday we were assisted by the prosecutor," said Febri, his nickname.

According to Febri, the appraisal value has been offered to investors. Meanwhile, he continued, investors are currently calculating the cash flow for the management of the Surabaya Youth Park with a specified appraisal value, such as for example, calculating the price of TRS tickets with profits that investors will get and so on.

"So it's just a matter of waiting for the feedback. Apracial has been completed, it's submitted to investors, it's just a matter of whether they want it or not. If the concept is submitted to investors, but the nuances are still like before, people's entertainment. What is certain is the big concept like before with the contemporary concept," he said.
