Sudaryono ensures that the change of BGN head will not disrupt the MBG program

JAKARTA - Sudaryono ensures that the change of leadership of the National Nutrition Agency will not interfere with the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal program. The coordination of BGN with the Ministry of Agriculture has been running since the beginning of the program.

Sudaryono conveyed this before being inaugurated as Head of BGN at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday (22/7). He replaced Nanik S. Deyang who resigned for health reasons.

"I think there is no transition. We at the Ministry of Agriculture from the beginning, even since the head of Mr. Dadan and the old manager, have been coordinating," said Sudaryono.

According to Sudaryono, cooperation between the two institutions is needed because MBG needs a large supply of food. The Ministry of Agriculture has prepared a number of steps to anticipate the need for eggs and chicken meat, especially outside Java.

Sudaryono said the coordination also included investment plans for the livestock sector involving Danantara Indonesia and the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health.

He ensured that he would continue to listen to Nanik's input. Nanik's experience as deputy head to head of BGN is considered to be a material in carrying out programs and handling existing problems.

"We will definitely listen to the input, including from Ms. Nani," he said.

Sudaryono will also first ask for an assessment from the internal ranks of BGN. He will work with the two deputy heads and all officials of the institution.
