The Mataram City Tourism Office hopes that the Lombok royal heritage that will be handed over by the Dutch Government to the Indonesian Government should be stored in the West Nusa Tenggara State Museum as a regional wealth heritage, especially Lombok Island. "The heritage of the Lombok royal heritage is more appropriate to be stored at the State Museum in Mataram City," said Head of the Mataram City Tourism Office (Dispar) H Nizar Denny Cahyadi in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, July 11. The statement was made in response to the return of hundreds of heritages of the Lombok kingdom by the Dutch government to the central government. According to information, the heirloom is the heritage of the son-in-law of Cakranegara, Mataram. Therefore, the Head of the Mataram Tourism Office assessed that the heirloom of the Lombok kingdom was stored in the Jakarta Museum or other areas considered inappropriate. "So it should be stored in the State Museum in order to increase the wealth of local culture and become an attraction for tourists to come to the museum," he said. Meanwhile, the Head of the West Nusa Tenggara State Museum, Ahmad Nuralam, previously said that related to reports from the Dutch government that would return some of the assets that had been seized during the conquest of the 19th Century Karang Asem Mataram kingdom, hoped that this would happen. "We hope that after being handed over to the central government, it can be submitted to NTB Province, because it includes the relics of the NTB community, especially Lombok," he said.
