Late Uploading Candidate Improvement Files, 1 Political Party In Rejang Lebong Failed To Participate In The 2024 Election

BENGKULU - One political party (political party) in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, failed to improve the registration of its legislative candidates who were promoted in the 2024 General Election.

Coordinator of the Technical Division for the Implementation of the Rejang Lebong KPU Election, Eiis Purwanti, said the political party was declared a failure after crossing the deadline for submitting the repair file on Sunday, July 9 at 23.59 WIB.

"Until the deadline for submitting the repair file for the legislative candidate at the Rejang Lebong KPU on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 23.59 WIB, there is one political party that cannot apply for repairs through the Silon application because the time has passed," he said in Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu, Monday, July 10, confiscated by Antara.

Eiis explained that the political party was the Nusantara Awakening Party (PKN). This party just uploaded a repair file to the KPU Silon application on Monday, July 10 at 01.11 WIB.

The political party, who was late in uploading the repair file to the KPU Silon, he said, could not submit a file repair to the local KPU even though previously coordinated to come to submit the betaleg repair file which had previously been declared ineligible (BMS).

"For the PKN party's problems, we will ask for directions from the Bengkulu Provincial KPU whether they can still be helped to make improvements or what," he explained.

According to him, previously the Rejang Lebong PKN party had uploaded repair documents, but there were still shortcomings. Until the deadline, it has not been completed.

Repair documents from hundreds of bacaleg, the KPU began to verify the repair administration from July 10 to August 6, 2023.

So far, of the 18 political parties participating in the 2024 General Election in Rejang Lebong Regency during the registration process for balaleg to the Rejang Lebong Regency KPU, May 1-14, 2023, 17 political parties registered their legs, while the Garuda Party did not register its leg.

The registration of bahaleg by the 17 political parties was after administrative verification of 502 Bacaleg documents on May 15, June 23, 2023. It was known that 68 people had been declared eligible (MS), while 434 other legs were declared ineligible (BMS) so the documents had to be corrected.
