After 1,410 Central Java Sports Activists To Fornas VII In West Java, Ganjar: The Important Thing Is Healthy, Bonus Sports

Central Java (Central Java) Governor Ganjar Pranowo released the Central Java contingent to the West Java VII National Recreation Sports Festival (Fornas), at the Jatidiri Stadium complex, Semarang, Sunday 2 July. A total of 1,410 sports activists from Central Java will participate in the event held in West Java (West Java). The release was carried out at the Jatidiri Stadium complex, Semarang. Departure will be carried out in stages from June 30 to July 7, 2023, in the future. The Central Java Provincial Government facilitates sports activists with land transportation. Ganjar appreciated the enthusiasm of sports activists who took part in the Central Java Indonesian Community Recreation Sports Committee (KORMI). Moreover, many of them are no longer young. “ These are seniors, yes, which I like to always exercise. Second, it turns out that they like to exercise and now we want to compete at the National Fornas in West Java, we pray they win, ” he said. Apart from that, Ganjar hopes that they will participate in the competition happily. According to him, the most important thing is happiness and health. " “ Make it (competition) something encouraging, if then we get the health that we are looking for, if we get a medal it's a bonus. But the point for me is to be healthy first,” he said. Seeing the Fornas contingent from Central Java, Ganjar felt challenged. Because, even though they are elderly, said Ganjar, they are still excited. Moreover, exercise is a way to prevent various diseases, such as Alzheimer's. “ The best investment in a living person is sport. So it's not because there is BPJS, or health insurance but because of sports,” he said.

Fornas VII 2023 will be held in 37 match venues and exhibitions. This competition will feature and compete in various types of public sports from 85 Main Sports Organizations Community members of KORMI. Among other things, fitness, yoga, tai chi, breathing exercise, lion dance, various traditional sports, BMX bicycles and old bicycles and even push bikes for children aged 5-7 years. Then, skate board, street Soccer, e-sport, airsoftgun, traditional archery, kites, trail and orienteering, off-road, pencak silat, karate, taekwondo, bodybuilding, panco, catapult, dance sport and various other community sports from three sports commission clusters at CORMI namely Health and Fitness Sports (OKK), Traditional Sports and Cultural Creation (OTKB) and adventure sports and challenges. In addition, Fornas VII 2023 will also present other exciting events in the 2023 Fornas VII series, namely, sports expo and sports fashion, Traditional Pencak Silat Festival, sports seminars, games, exhibitions, bazaars, “ Bedas Expo” for MSMEs, convoys, and music concerts.
