Kupang Police Chief AKBP Anak Agung Gde Anom Wirata said that the victim who was recruited was a girl and was still a minor.
"The arrest of the perpetrator was carried out after the team thwarted the departure of two underage girls who were about to be dispatched to Sulawesi by ship," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 13.
Of the two victims, one of them came from a village in Amabi Oefeto Timur District, Kupang Regency, NTT Province.
The police chief said a number of departure documents for the two underage girls were faked, such as forgery and others.
From the results of the interim examination, YM admitted that he was working with his girlfriend to recruit prospective workers illegally using Facebook.
If anyone is interested and ready to depart, he will be paid Rp. 500 thousand per person.
