PJLP Officer Drowns In BKT River: Victim Suspected Of Suicide Due To Browsing About Syahid's Death

Residents around the East Flood Canal (BKT) River, Jalan Inspeksi Kanal Timur, Rorotan, Cilincing, North Jakarta were excited after learning that another individual service provider (PJLP) officer in Cilincing District was suspected of drowning.

North Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. Officer Marjio said that his party received a report from local residents on Friday, June 9, at around 09.02 WIB.

The victim named Fitri Khairul Umam (30) was finally found a few hours later after Gulkarmat officers conducted a sweep at the scene.

Head of Ops for North Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Abdul Wahid revealed that Khairul's body was found by officers at 13.30 WIB.

"Alhamdulillah, at 13.30 WIB, we managed to find the body," said Wahid, Friday, June 9.

No eye witnesses saw the incident. However, officers also found the victim's belongings not far from the scene.

"Only his belongings were found at this crime scene, namely a motorbike in full condition, along with his cellphone and the item was handed over to Rorotan Village," said Marjio.
