The Batang Regency Government, Central Java, has prepared 200 hectares of land for investors from FujianTiongkok Province who will invest in the Batang Integrated Industrial Zone.

Head of the Investment and One Stop Integrated Service Office of Batang Regency, Wahyu Budi Santosa, said that recently the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia had conducted a survey to the location of the Batang Integrated Industrial Zone.

"Yes, a survey has been conducted by the Chinese Ambassador. Later, the problem will be followed up by both parties, namely the Government of Indonesia and China," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 31.

However, he said, his party did not yet know how much investment value would be invested in the Batang Integrated Industrial Zone.

"We don't know yet. The Batang Integrated Industrial Zone is a national strategic project so that it becomes the authority of the central government," he said.

According to him, the investment cooperation between the two countries was built in the High-Level Dialogue and Cooperation Mechanism RI-RRT in Jakarta, May 9, 2023.

The activity was held by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) which produced Two Countries Twin Parks.

"There are three local governments invited to the forum, namely Batang Regency, Bintan Regency, and Semarang City," he said.

Wahyu Budi Santosa said that Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said the twin Parksakan Cooperation scheme supports and enhances cooperation between Indonesia and China, especially in the industrial sector.

He hopes this collaboration can be a driving force for both countries to improve industrial supporting infrastructure development, such as maritime logistics infrastructure and support policies such as ease of customs licensing for industrial products.

The sectors that are the priority of the two countries in the "Two Countries Twin Parks" include the maritime industry, food manufacturing, building materials, and electronics that have been agreed upon by the two countries.

"Several entrepreneurs from Fujian will also invest in the Batang Integrated Industrial Zone using an area of about 200 hectares," he said.

Wahyu said the district government had prepared to welcome and serve investors.

"The obstacle that is still happening is the lack of human resource capacity in communicating with investors, especially related to Mandarin mastery," he said.
