Jokowi's Bantah Palace 'Cawe-cawe' To Influence The Results Of The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Cabinet Secretary (Menseskab) Pramono Anung denied that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) would intervene in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). There is no hidden intention.

This was conveyed by Pramono in response to President Jokowi's statement who had admitted that he would mess or interfere in the 2024 presidential election. This moment occurred when he met with media leaders at the Merdeka Palace on Monday, May 29.

"Oh, no. Not careless then to influence the election results. Not at all," said Pramono, Tuesday, May 30.

Pramono explained that Jokowi intends to interfere in the 2024 General Election only to ensure that the democratic party runs well. Because he wants whoever wins to be able to continue his work program.

"The jokes (meaning, red), created the election going well," he said.

One of the things that Jokowi wants to continue is the downstream policy to the construction of a new capital city in Kalimantan. "Because IKN has also received extraordinary enthusiasm from investors from abroad," said Pramono.

It is known that President Joko Widodo met with editor-in-chief of the mass media as well as media activists at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. The conversation was held for about 2 hours and was attended by Minister of State Secretariat Pratikno and also Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, Bey Machmudin.
