3 People Died In An Accident In The Leilem-Soder Section Of Southeast Sulawesi

Traffic accident on Jalan Leilem-Sonder, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi (ANTARA)

MANADO - The traffic accident that occurred on the Leilem-Sonder road, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi, caused three people to die. The incident involved three vehicles.

The Head of Sonder Police, Ipda, Tuejeh, said that on Friday at around 08.00 WITA, there was a traffic accident on Jalan Raya Leilem-Sonder.

At that time, the red plate DB 7027 C Hyno Bus was driven by JS or Jakson moving from Winenet Bitung Village towards Tombatu, Southeast Minahasa in order to follow the GMIM WKI Hapsa.

Bus vehicles move from the direction of Leilem to Sonder or from the north to the south.

On the way, at the scene of the incident, the bus vehicle exited the left shoulder of the road.

"At that time the driver tried to return to the road, the vehicle swerved, and capsized to the right and slipped into the Toyota Avanza DB 1598 EG driven by VVK aka Vens which came from the opposite direction," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 26.

From the opposite direction Toyota Avanza tried to avoid, but was hit by the derailed hyno vehicle.

This accident resulted in material losses of around Rp. 20 million and three people died and a number of people suffered minor injuries and serious injuries.

All three people who died were passengers on the Hyno bus, each Welmina Masangke, Corneles Sambelorang and Ade Putra Lorameng.

"Meanwhile, those who suffered minor injuries were treated at Siloam Sonder Hospital and two seriously injured, Ingrid Madea and Jeny Damima were referred to Bethesda Tomohon Hospital," he said.
