East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat revealed that his area still has to face fundamental problems such as electricity and lack of clean water.

"These various basic problems are still problems faced by the people of NTT," said Viktor in Kupang, NTT, Thursday, May 25, as reported by Antara.

Viktor, who has served as Governor of NTT since 2018, said that these problems still have to be faced by residents.

He concluded this after working visits to a number of districts on the islands of Flores, Lembata, and Alor over the past two weeks.

The former member of the DPR for the 2014-2019 period then discussed other problems in the area he leads, such as improving human resources (HR) and the quality of education.

Viktor, who ended his term of office on September 5, 2023, admitted that the development process in NTT needed quick steps. According to him, NTT is far behind other provinces.

"The key to people moving forward is moving or moving from their comfort zone and returning to make changes. Don't be afraid of problems or challenges. To progress, you have to work hard and work smartly in order to progress," he said.
