JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated the assets of the inactive Mamberamo Tengah Regent Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP) which is worth around Rp. 30 billion, related to the investigation of the alleged money laundering case (TPPU).

"For information, so far the value of assets confiscated by the investigative team is around Rp. 30 billion, in the form of movable and immovable assets," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in a written statement in Jakarta as reported by Antara, Saturday.

Ali said that currently the anti-corruption agency investigation team is still continuing to develop cases of alleged corruption and money laundering offenses for RHP suspects.

The confiscation of assets is also carried out in the context of recovering assets (asset recovery) to recover state losses.

"The team is still investigating the flow of money from corruption, so the confiscation is still being carried out so that later it can fulfill asset recovery resulting from corruption," he said.

Previously, the KPK had named the inactive Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP) as a suspect in the alleged bribery case related to infrastructure development projects in Central Mamberamo Regency.

After developing the case, the KPK then re-established Ricky Ham Pagawak as a suspect in the alleged money laundering case (TPPU).

Since being named a suspect, Ricky Ham Pagawak has disappeared and has been on the KPK's wanted list (DPO) since July 15, 2022. Ricky Ham Pagawak had fled to Papua New Guinea for seven months.

Ricky Ham's escape ended after KPK investigators detected his presence in Indonesia in early February 2023, until he was finally arrested in Abepura on February 19, 2023.

Apart from Ricky Ham, the KPK also named three other suspects from the private sector as the giver of bribes, namely the President Director of PT Bina Karya Raya (BKR) Simon Pampang (SP), Director of PT Bumi Abadi Perkasa (BAP) Jusieandra Pribadi Pampang (JPP), and Director of PT Solata Sukses Bangun (SSM) Marten Toding (MT).
