PAMEKASAN - Pamekasan Regency Government (Pemkab), Madura, East Java stopped the construction of a tobacco warehouse owned by a Gardang cigarette company partner in the local Sentol Village, because it did not have a permit.

Head of the Investment and One Stop Integrated Service (DPMPTSP) Pamekasan Regency Government, Taufikurrachman, said the construction of the tobacco warehouse that had to be stopped belonged to PT Wijaya Sentosa Abadi (WSA).

"The Satpol-PP has stopped after coordinating with Investment and One Stop Service for the Pamekasan Regency Government," Taufik said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 11.

He explained that the Pamekasan Regency Government took firm steps so that business actors obey the administration and follow the processes implemented by the government.

Previously, the Pamekasan Regency Government had given a verbal and written warning to the owner of the tobacco warehouse, but it was ignored.

"Therefore, the Pamekasan Regency Government immediately took firm action by forcibly stopping it, until the construction permit was completed," he said.

Separately, the Director of PT Wijaya Sentosa Abadi Bernath Brondiva admitted that the permit for the construction of his tobacco warehouse in Sentol Village, Pamekasan had not yet obtained a permit.

"Currently, we are still trying to complete the permit, and all of that happened, because there are parties who ask to continue the construction, even though the permit is not complete," he said, without being willing to mention the person in question.

Previously, it was rumored that there were individuals who asked the Director of PT Wijaya Sentosa Abadi to continue construction, namely unscrupulous employees at the Pamekasan Regency Government Investment and One Stop Service Office, but the Head of PMPTSP Taufikurrachman denied this.

The case of building a place of business without a permit as the construction of a tobacco warehouse owned by PT Wijaya Sentosa Abadi in Sentol Village, Larangan District, Pamekasan is the second case in Pamekasan.

A similar case also occurred in the construction of the 'Pak-Kapalan' hotel in Ambat Village, Tlanakan District in 2011 and has not yet been continued because the ownership of the land occupied by the hotel is problematic, namely state property which is claimed to be privately owned by residents.
