BANDUNG - The Bandung City Government, West Java is again holding a vehicle-free day (CFD) with a location on Jalan Ir. H.Djuanda (Dago) and Jalan Asia Afrika.

The Daily Executive of the Mayor of Bandung, Ema Sumarna, said that for the re-implementation of the CFD after the COVID-19 pandemic, his party had coordinated with the Bandung Police and the Bandung City Kodim 0616/BS.

"We will hold the Car free day Dago again, then CFD Asia Africa on condition that there should be no street vendors and animals. Later we will launch (launch) together with the police chief and Dandim," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 8.

In connection with the plan, Ema also instructed the Bandung City Transportation Service to immediately hold a coordination meeting to prepare for the opening of the CFD with various stakeholders.

"Immediately the Transportation Agency will hold a meeting, I ask that this be realized as soon as possible," he said.

Daily Executive Head of the Bandung City Transportation Service Ricky Gustiadi said that in principle the CFD was ready to be carried out again after some time it was stopped due to the pandemic.

"The budget and legal basis are ready. We are in principle ready for CFD. We will immediately hold a coordination meeting," he said.

He said the opening of the CFD on Jalan Dago was planned for May or June 2023.

"It will be prioritized on Jalan Dago, not with Buahbatu according to the headline. For launching whether May or June. But it is possible in June," he said.
