Kristen Gray, A Foreigner Who Invited Foreigners To Move To Bali, Was Deported

DENPASAR - Kristen Antoinette Gray, whose tweet @kristentooti invited foreigners to move to Bali, was deported.

"American citizens in the name of Kristen Antoinette Gray are subject to administrative immigration action in the form of deportation," said the Head of the Regional Office for the Ministry of Justice and Bali, Jamaruli Manihuruk, Tuesday, January 19.

Kristen Gray in her tweet admitted that she could make it easier for her to enter Bali through the recommended genes that offered a cheap, comfortable and LGBT friendly cost of living in Bali.

Kristen Gray is known to have entered Indonesia via I Gusti Nugrah Rai International Airport on December 21. Kristen Gray extended her residence permit at the TPI Denpasar Immigration Class I office on December 22, 2020 which is valid until January 24, 2021.

Therefore, it is reasonable to suspect that Kristen Gray violated article 75 paragraph 1 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration which reads:

Immigration Officials have the authority to carry out administrative actions on Immigration against Foreigners who are in the territory of Indonesia who carry out dangerous activities and are reasonably suspected of endangering security and public order or not respecting or disobeying statutory regulations.

"Apart from this, the foreigner is suspected of carrying out business activities through the sale of e-books and the installation of Bali tourism consulting rates so that he may be subject to sanctions in accordance with Article 122 letter a of Law Number 6 Year 2011 concerning Immigration," said Jamaruli.
