Moeldoko Invites Media To Strengthen Indonesia's Positioning In ASEAN Chairship

Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko believes that the hard work of the Indonesian government in the Chairship of ASEAN 2023 will produce maximum results with the support and central role of the media. "There should be no impression that the government has issued a lot of budgets but without results. So I beg the media to strongly strengthen Indonesia's positioning at ASEAN Chairship," said Moeldoko in his statement, Wednesday, May 3.

Moeldoko emphasized that the effectiveness of the news is crucial in the success of the ASEAN 42nd Summit, in Labuan Bajo, NTT, on May 9-11. "I want to emphasize how the news can run effectively and strongly. Both in substance and time. We will prepare the flow. The experience of the G20 is a benchmark for improvement at the summit this time," he explained.

"We hope that the media can be objective and critical. Together with the government, let's bring success to ASEAN chairmanship for Indonesia's national interests and good name," said Moeldoko.

"If there is a shortage, please don't explore it without confirmation to us. Such as ordering a Padang restaurant, if it's good, tell friends, if it's not good, tell us," he added.
