Desperate To Sell Alcohol In The Month Of Fasting, Women In Solo Arrested By Police

SOLO - A woman with the initials Ni (20), a resident of Kratonan, Serengan District, Solo City, Central Java, was arrested by the police for recklessly selling alcoholic beverages that can be absorbed during the fasting month.

Head of the Samapta Unit of the Surakarta City Police, Kompol Arfian Riski Dwi Wibowo, said that a woman was arrested because when Muslims fasted during the Holy Month of Ramadan, she was caught selling ciu type liquor stored in a refrigerator at her house, in Kratonan Serengan Solo.

He said the action began with a public report, on Wednesday, April 19 evening. They complained about the sale of liquor in Kratonan Serengan, Solo City, which had disturbed local residents.

"Residents are restless with the circulation of alcohol in the area, during this Ramadan fasting month. Instead of respecting people fasting, selling alcohol instead, we carry out community disease operations," he said.

When the police carried out a concentrated operation, they managed to secure 15 bottles of 1.5 liters of ciu and 1 500 milliliter bottle. Sellers along with evidence in the form of alcoholic beverages were immediately taken to the Serengan Police Headquarters of the Surakarta Police for the process according to the procedure," he said.
