Mukmin Mulyadi Fugitive In Drug Cases, PKB Asks Its New Cadres To Be Inaugurated By Tanjungbalai DPRD Members To Surrender

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPP National Awakening Party (PKB) Daniel Johan, admitted that his party only found out that it was his cadre who was inaugurated as a member of the Tanjungbalai Regency DPRD, Mukmin Mulyadi, turned out to be a fugitive in a drug case.

Because, said Daniel, the case was never heard. In addition, the police records certificate (SKCK) in question was also issued.

"This is a recent incident. Because before the PAW process (interimal change), this case never appeared, even the SKCK was published," said Daniel Johan, Friday, April 14. Even so, continued Daniel, the PKB DPP through the Regional Management Board (DPW) requested that Mukmin Mulyadi surrender himself to the police. Because Mukmin has been a fugitive in drug cases since 2020. Daniel also instructed the local PKB DPW to carry out legal proceedings against Mukmin Mulyadi.

"Yes, DPW has asked (to surrender himself, ed)," said Daniel. Previously, the North Sumatra PKB DPW stated that it would remove Mukmin Mulyadi from his position as a member of the Tanjungbalai DPRD because he was reportedly on the wanted list (DPO) for drug cases. Mukmin himself was recently appointed as a member of the DPRD on March 29, 2023, replacing his deceased colleague.

"He is a suspect, the defendant is by the rules of the party. He must be dismissed or removed from being a member of the DPRD," said the treasurer of the PKB Sumatra DPW, Zeira Salim Ritonga, quoted Thursday, April 14.

Zeira admitted that his party was missed by this information. So that he appointed Mukmin to be a member of the Tanjungbalai DPRD because he did not know that he was a fugitive in a drug case. "There was an appointment of the DPRD from PKB, we missed it. We really don't know that," said Zeira.

Zeira then questioned the North Sumatra Police who did not arrest and process Mukmin's law. Given that Mukmin is always in Tanjungbalai City and has never gone anywhere.

"We just found out, he's right there, not going anywhere. That's why I was surprised, so before the process started. They should have known, they were arrested," said Zeira.
