JAKARTA - The Golkar Party responded to the attitude of PPP which is pessimistic about the formation of a major coalition that combines the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) with the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR). "We should not be pessimistic about the formation of this grand coalition," said Golkar DPP chairman Ace Hasan Syadzily, to reporters, Wednesday, April 12. Because according to Ace, communication between the general chairmen of political parties that initiated a large coalition continues to be carried out intensively. Both internally KIB and with the general chairman at the KKIR. "The communication between the general chairman of the Golkar party and the general chairmen within KIB is very good, also between KIB and the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR) is also very intense," said Ace. In fact, continued the chairman of the West Java Golkar DPD, Airlangga often met with Prabowo to discuss a large coalition. Most recently, the two held a meeting at the Ministry of Friendship office yesterday. "Pak Airlangga has been intensely meeting with Pak Prabowo. There are many things discussed in the meeting, including the idea of this big coalition," said Ace. Previously, PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan had also visited Prabowo at his residence in Kertanegara. The meeting also discussed the follow-up to the discourse of a large coalition named the National Coalition. Therefore, Ace asked PPP not to doubt the discourse of forming a major coalition. Because he said, each ketum of the KIB and KKIR axis has a strong commitment in building a large coalition. "So, don't be pessimistic. Each chairman of the two coalition political parties has a strong commitment to unite perceptions in building a large coalition," said Ace. Because according to him, there are many problems ranging from the absence of an agreement within each coalition to the difficulty of determining presidential candidates (candidates). First, the KIB consisting of Golkar, PAN and PPP have not met to discuss the discourse. According to him, KIB did not necessarily agree to join the KIR coalition formed by Gerindra and PKB. In addition, he continued, when the gathering at PAN headquarters actually invited PDIP, the general chairman could not attend. Awiek believes that President Jokowi, who knows the idea of a large coalition, will certainly not leave the PDIP. Then second, the matter of determining the presidential and vice presidential candidates. The reason is, each party nominates one name to be championed in the 2024 presidential election. On the other hand, the names of the proposed presidential candidates have not been agreed in the internal coalition of each.
