JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has not yet received Brigadier General Endar Priantoro back to serve in an anti-corruption agency. The National Police said this was an internal KPK problem but would continue to monitor its development.
Brigadier General Endar Priantoro was originally honorably dismissed by the KPK as Director of Investigation and returned to the Bhayangkara Corps.
However, the National Police Chief in a letter addressed to the KPK leadership still asked Brigadier General Endar Priantoro to serve at the anti-corruption agency.
"Yes, if it's an internal problem, we will monitor it further," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Sandi Nugroho to reporters, Wednesday, April 5.
However, it was emphasized that the appointment of Brigadier General Endar Priantoro to remain on duty at the KPK was a form of Polri's support in eradicating corruption.
Moreover, Brigadier General Endar Priantoro is one of the best members of the National Police who has experience in handling corruption cases and others.
"So the leadership has made instructions and directions that Brigadier General Endar should be able to serve at the KPK. Given that the National Police Chief is committed to strengthening the KPK," said Sandi.
For information, Brigadier General Endar Priantoro has not fully returned as Director of Investigation. This is because the KPK has appointed Ronald Ferdinand Worotikan as acting (Plt). In fact, Endar officially complained against Firli Bahuri and the Secretary General of the KPK Cahya for alleged ethical violations to the Supervisory Board (Dewas).
