Plenary Session Of The House Of Representatives Approves 3 Names Of Supreme Court Justices And Candidates For Ad Hoc Judges No One Escapes Fit And Proper Test

The Indonesian House of Representatives approved the names of 3 Supreme Court justices in today's plenary meeting, Tuesday, April 4 (Nailin/VOI)

JAKARTA - The DPR RI approved the names of 3 Supreme Court justices in today's plenary meeting, Tuesday, April 4. This approval is a follow-up to the results of the fit and proper of Commission III of the DPR against 9 candidates for Supreme Court justices and candidates for ad hoc human rights judges.

Deputy chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Prince Khairul Saleh, reported that the plenary meeting of Commission III listened to the views of the factions to approve 6 candidates for Supreme Court justices and 3 candidates for Ad Hoc judges.

As a result, there were 3 names of Supreme Court justices who were elected by consensus, while no one passed the fit and proper test ad hoc HAM judge.

"Commission III of the DPR RI puts forward deliberation and based on the landangan 9 factions approved 3 Candidates for Supreme Court Justices, namely, one, Lucas Prakoso as Supreme Court Justice of the Civil Chamber, two, Imron Rosyadi as Hakin Agung in the Room of Religion, three, Lulik Tri Cahyaningrum as Supreme Court Justice in the Chamber of State Administration," Prince said in a plenary meeting.

Meanwhile, continued Prince, judges who did not qualify were candidates for Hakim Ad Hoc HAM Harnoto, Heppy Wawangkere, and Fatan Riyadhi, Supreme Court Justices of the Sukri Criminal Chamber of North Sulawesi, candidates for Supreme Court Justices of the Criminal Chamber, Annas Mustaqim, and Candidates for Supreme Court Justices of the Special Tax TUN Room, Triyono Martanto.

"Similarly, the DPR Commission III report regarding the results of the feasibility test on 9 Candidates for Supreme Court Justices and Ad Hoc HAM Judges at the 2022-2023 Supreme Court. We will then submit it to this plenary meeting to get approval," said Pangeran.

After hearing the report from the leadership of Commission III, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, always chaired the meeting and then asked the members of the Council whether the 3 names could be approved as Supreme Court justices. Members of the Council simultaneously answered in agreement.

"Let us ask at the honorable council hearing whether the DPR Commission III report on the results of the eligibility test of Candidates for Supreme Court Justices and Ad Hoc HAM Judges at the Supreme Court in 2022-2023 can be approved?" asked Puan. "Agreed," replied all members of the Council present.

Puan then introduced 3 Candidates for Supreme Court Justices to the Supreme Court and was invited to go to the pulpit and take a group photo.

"Now that we introduce the candidates for Supreme Court Justices who were delivered and named by the leadership of Commission III, we ask those concerned to stand back up, then we invite them to the pulpit to take pictures together," said Puan.
