It is not clear about the construction of an intermediate waste processing facility (FPSA) in the western service area which will be built in Cakung, East Jakarta until the Palace is highlighted.
Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko admitted that he was surprised why until now the intermediate treatment facility (ITF) in Cakung had not yet been built. In fact, the planning was carried out several years ago.
President Director of PT Jakarta Propertindo Iwan Takwin admitted that his party could work on the construction of the ITF in Cakung if it had received an assignment and budget from the DKI Provincial Government.
"We as BUMDs are assigned through assignments. Whatever policy is planned by the provincial government, yes we are BUMDs carrying out. So, we carry out any assignment according to the progress," said Iwan when met at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Thursday, March 30.
Iwan admitted that Jakpro did not receive regional capital participation (PMD) to build the ITF for the western service area in the 2023 APBD. The budget was proposed in the amount of Rp338 billion, but was crossed out in the draft APBD.
Iwan also said that his party could not intervene in this matter. This is because the budget process is discussed by the DKI Provincial Government and the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
"The dynamics of the budget, there must be those that are approved, some that are not approved. Meanwhile, we have carried out the rules or requirements according to our duties as BUMD. However, the decision is approved or not, the authority is legislative," said Iwan.
Therefore, currently Jakpro will coordinate with the DKI Provincial Government to find solutions in pursuing the implementation of the ITF development of the western service area.
Previously, Moeldoko requested that the construction of the ITF in the Cakung area, East Jakarta, begin immediately. Moreover, the FPSA for the western service area is predicted to be the largest waste power plant (PLTSA) in Indonesia.
"Seventh, August, if possible, it will be ground-breaking. Don't delay anymore," said Moeldoko in a coordination meeting on the realization of PLTSa with the DKI Jakarta provincial government, PT Jakarta Propertindo, and project implementers, namely PT Wijaya Karya and PT Indoplas Karya Energi, at the Bina Graha building, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 29.

Moeldoko said President Joko Widodo had mandated that the realization of the ITF in Jakarta be realized immediately. So that it can not only solve the waste problem, but also become a leap to realize Indonesia's commitment to reduce emissions according to the Paris Agreement.
"The president in every meeting always asks about the development of this PLTSA. Why is it so difficult to realize. From the look on his face, the President looks angry. Because this concerns Indonesia's commitment to reducing emissions," said Moeldoko.
