"At 12.30 WIB there was a landslide which took place at the Cilember Curug tourist park in Bungur Village which resulted in two deaths," said Head of Megamendung Police AKP Edy Santosa reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 20.

He mentioned Bustomi and Pipih, who were basreng traders at that time, were taking shelter at the shop when it was raining with high intensity.

"Suddenly a landslide hit them, the two victims who were hit by the landslide died," he said.

Edy explained that the two victims were brought to the Goenawan Pulmonary Hospital (RSPG) after being successfully evacuated from the avalanche material. However, his life could not be saved.

"Both Megamendung Police personnel and the Koramil as well as village officials from Megamendung District came to the TKP and saw that there was a landslide which resulted in two victims. The victims' families have been notified and accepted that this was an ordeal," he said.

As of Monday evening, he said, the two victims were still at the hospital for examination and cleaning process while waiting to be picked up by their families.
