Governor of Jambi Rebukes Recalcitrant Coal Truck Drivers for Breaking Nasional Road Traffic Regulations

JAMBI - Jambi Governor Al Haris stopped coal transport trucks that were still operating across the national road out of schedule. Haris also rebuked the recalcitrant driver for not obeying the local government regulations.

This happened during Haris' working visit crossing the national road in Batang Hari Regency, Jambi today, Thursday, March 16.

"I immediately warned them about the naughty behaviour of the coal transport drivers who crossed the national road that afternoon and asked them to stop until the time limit was determined according to the applicable regulations", said Al Haris, who immediately got out of his official car to meet the naughty driver.

Meanwhile, coal transportation activities often create traffic jams on the Jambi national road. For this reason, the regional government has made regulations for operating hours for coal transport to cross the national road in Jambi only from 18.00-06.00 WIB.

Separately, in a video obtained by Antara, Haris also scolded a coal transport driver who dared to cross the national road in Jebak Village, Batang Hari Regency.

Haris also seemed annoyed because there were no officers from the Jambi Provincial Transportation Service and Satpol PP who were not at all on guard at the location to control coal transporters that had misbehaved crossing during the day.

"You can't walk during the day, why are you still walking, the government has made the rules and why are you forced to keep walking during the day so that it can become a traffic jam, then you will also stop protesting", said Haris.
