JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion and the Special Hajj Organizers (PIHK) have agreed on a minimum fee of US$8,000 or around Rp.123,491,600 for a special pilgrimage (Bipih).

"The coordination meeting between the Ministry of Religion and PIHK agreed that the Special Hajj Travel Expenses (Bipih) will remain at a minimum of USD 8,000," said Director of Umrah and Special Hajj Development at the Ministry of Religion Nur Arifin in a statement released by ANTARA, Thursday, March 9.

The amount of the special Hajj fee was determined after holding a Coordination Meeting for the Preparation of the Special Hajj Pilgrimage in Jakarta.

"The initial deposit was also agreed to be fixed at USD 4,000," said Nur.

Nur Arifin said that the agreed Bipih is the minimum fee paid by pilgrims to obtain special Hajj services. PIHK can provide a package price above that price.

"Hopefully in the future PIHK can improve services for God's guests as much as possible," he said.
